In the fall of 2005, Danny O'Quinn, Jr. became runner-up in the "Roush Racing: Driver X" competition. Soon after, he signed on to race the World Financial Group No. 50 Ford Fusion in the Busch series. O'Quinn was named Busch Series Rookie of the Year after the 2006 Season Finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
