2007: Edwards finished 9th in the overall Sprint Cup standings with one pole, three wins, and 11 Top 5 and 15 Top 10 finishes. This marked the second time in three years that he qualified for the prestigious Chase for the Championship. Edwards finished the 2007 Nationwide Series with an impressive four wins and 15 Top 5 and 21 Top 10 finishes. He dominated the driver's point standings for a phenomenal 33 straight weeks on the way to winning his first NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship title.
2006: Edwards struggled early in the Nextel Cup Series in 2006, but made a miraculous turn around, finishing seven of the last 10 races in the Top10. He finished 12th in the overall standings. Edwards moved up one position from the previous year to second in the overall Busch Series standings. Edwards recorded a phenomenal record in 2006 with three poles, four wins, 15 Top 5s and 25 Top 10s.
2005: Finished third in his first full season in both NASCAR's Nextel Cup & Busch Series. Captured first NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series wins back-to-back in Atlanta. Edwards compiled four wins, 13 Top 5 finishes and two poles in the Nextel Cup Series. He compiled five wins in the Busch Series, 15 Top 5 finishes and four poles. Won the Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors for the 2005 Busch Series.
2004: Compiled three wins, nine Top 5 finishes and two poles in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, finishing fourth in the final point standings. Also drove 13 races in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.
2003: Named Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in his first year with Roush Racing. Captured three wins and 13 Top 5 finishes, finishing eighth in the final point standings in his first season with Roush.
