Trevor Bayne – 2013 Nationwide Series Driver of the #6 WFG Ford Mustang
Trevor Bayne has definitely earned his place in NASCAR’s winner’s circle, generating buzz and racking up an astounding number of victories — all before turning 23. This talented driver earned the distinction of being the youngest driver to win the prestigious Daytona 500. Not content to simply rest on his laurels, Trevor went on to take his first victory lap at his very first career Nationwide Series race at Texas in the fall of 2011 – just one of the 14 top-10 and five top-five finishes in 29 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts that season.
Hailing from Knoxville, Tenn., Trevor began his racing career at age of five, competing in the go-kart circuit and racking up three World Championships with over 300 feature wins and 18 State and Track Championships combined in his 8 years in the sport. In 2010, while driving for Michael Waltrip Racing, Trevor drove to three poles, five top-fives and nine top-10 finishes in 14 starts, before making the move to Roush Fenway Racing. On March 9, Trevor made an impressive showing driving the No. 6 WFG Ford Mustang at the Sam’s Town 300 in Las Vegas, placing 4th, after holding the top spot for 21 laps early in the race. Trevor will once again be behind the wheel of the WFG-sponsored car at the Great Clips 200 at the Phoenix International Raceway on November 9. With a string of triumphs and accomplishments all earned before he passes the quarter century mark, you can be assured Trevor will continue to be a dominant force on the track for years to come.
